American Tommy Paul of Voorhees Township. New Jersey has won the 2024 Queen’s Club Championship. In the final, Paul defeated Lorenzo Mussetti of Italy 6-1, 7-6 in the final. Paul won 10-8 in the second set tiebreak. The serve was a major reason why Paul got the win. He had six aces compared to two for Mussetti.

Paul, who was seeded fifth, did not have to beat a single seeded player en route to winning the tournament. He defeated Sebastian Baez of Argentina 6-4, 6-4 in the first round, Alejandro Tabilo of Chile 6-3, 6-4 in the second round, Jack Draper of Great Britain 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 in the quarterfinals, and fellow American Sebastian Korda 6-4, 7-6 in the semifinals.

This was Paul’s third ATP title. He previously beat 2021 Wimbledon semifinalist Denis Shapovalov of Canada 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 in the final of Stockholm in 2021. Paul then beat Marcos Giron of the United States 7-6, 5-7, 6-3 in the final of Dallas in 2024. Both of Paul’s ATP titles came on an indoor hardcourt. Like Shapovalov, Paul is a grand slam semifinalist as well. He made the final four of the 2023 Australian Open.

it was an interesting weekend of tennis, as there were two ATP 500 events. In Halle, Jannik Sinner of Italy, the number one tennis player in the world at the moment, defeated Hubert Hurkacz of Poland in the final, 7-6, 7-6.

This is one of four weekends in tennis where there are two ATP 500 tournaments that run simultaneously. In February, there were events in Dubai and Mexico which were won by Ugo Humbert of France and Alex de Minaur of Australia respectively. In September, there are events in Beijing and Tokyo, and in October, there are indoor hard courts in Basel and Vienna.
