No. 8 Arkansas 4, No. 11 LSU 1

If it’s not Morgan Leinstock stepping up in the circle, it’s Robyn Herron. If it’s not Robyn Herron, well Saturday it was Hannah Camenzind. LSU tied the game in the second after Herron tossed multiple wild pitches. Camenzind came in and shut down the threat, proceeding to throw 4.1 scoreless innings before Leinstock got the final out for another SEC series win.

The offense had its big inning in the third. Six straight Razorback batters worked three-ball counts versus Kelley Lynch. Cylie Halvorson and Hannah Gammill had back-to-back bases-loaded walks after forcing Lynch to throw 10-plus pitches. Kennedy Miller then worked a similar at-bat to drop an RBI single.

No. 3 Tennessee 2, No. 18 Alabama 0

Karlyn Pickens was just as good as Payton Gotshall the night before. Pickens carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning until Kristen White dropped a bunt single. Pickens struck out seven batters in the shutout. In a position note for Alabama, Jocelyn Briski continues to pitch well, holding Tennessee to two runs and one being unearned. However, Alabama can’t win games without scoring runs and looks to avoid being swept for the first time since 2013.

No. 21 Arizona 8, No. 7 UCLA 4

The Wildcats brought their power sticks to Westwood on Satuday. The two teams traded blows in this rivalry series. After Allie Skaggs in a three-run homer, her former teammate Sharlize Palacios answered with one of her own. Jordan Woolery’s RBI double then put UCLA up in the third. Arizona tied the game on a Emily Schepp solo homer. The Wildcats pushed four across in the sixth behind a Dakota Kennedy three-run homer.

Brooke Mannon was the unsung hero throwing 3.1 innings of relief and allowing one hit against the Bruins lineup.

No. 12 Washington 3, No. 9 Stanford 1

The Huskies needed this game and Lindsay Lopez delivered what they needed. The lefty went the distance only surrendering one runs and four hits in the win. Stanford went 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position as Lopez got a few of her five strikeouts in big moments.

Rylee Holtorf kept her hot bat with a two-RBI single in the second. Alana Johnson added an insurance run with her ninth home run of Pac-12 play, now tied for the most this season.

No. 13 Missouri 4, No. 17 Mississippi State 0

The Tigers are one of the most solid teams in the country. Laurin Krings tossed a gem against the strong Mississippi State lineup that has gone ice-cold the past few weeks. Krings limited the Bulldogs to three hits in the shutout. Mississippi State’s defense allowed multiple runs with miscues as well and the Bulldogs simply couldn’t stop the bleeding.

Arizona State 5, California 4

The Sun Devils came into the game on an 11-game losing streak. Marissa Schuld and Audrey LeClair decided to end that. Those two hit back-to-back home runs for the game-tying and walk-off blasts.

Louisville 6, Clemson 3

The Cardinals needed this game for their bubble chances. After Clemson took a two-run lead early but Louisville batted back. The bottom of the order helped produce a five-run inning to take the lead back in the fifth. Sam Booe did well to close things out and end the game with three innings of relief.
