Our analyst has reviewed the sectional times, ratings & replays from last Saturday’s Scone meeting & has placed five horses you must follow in our black book below.

The Chris Waller-trained filly has made it two wins from two starts here. Last time she sat comfortably backfield for the most of the journey until peeling out wide entering the straight. She liked the outside going, handling the wet and kicking strongly to run down the leaders, finally getting the better of Satin Stiletto by 0.07 lengths. Will be fitter next start and has shown she can handle a good track too.

Spring Lee

Jumped well but raced very keenly in the middle stages when she got awkwardly wedged between runners. Placed second by 1.15 lengths behind Commemorative who had a better run throughout the race. She’s will bounce back and look to go one better next start.

Settled further back in the field than expected with a quick tempo set by the leaders. Tried to get a run on the outside with no luck. Shifted back inside but could only get a run with 200 metres to go. Raced on strongly and only came second by 0.09 lengths. Will be right in the finish again next start.

He raced wide without cover throughout and couldn’t match the turn of foot shown by Dollar Magic. Has the attributes though and if he can be positioned better next start he will be hard to beat.
